Exploring the canals of Greater Manchester is a fantastic thing to do with your loved one, and hopping aboard a canal boat that weaves its way through the locks of Manchester is a lovely way to unwind, relax and soak up the scenery. You may also both want to explore the countryside, and the scenery around Rochdale is beautiful, with wooded valleys and sweeping moorland, as well as the sparkling Hollingworth Lake and the Pennine Edge. You may wish to visit or stay in charming villages such as Milnrow or Littleborough to meet friendly locals or go for long walks together to make your break extra special.
